Health Education England (HEE), through the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE), is providing the education for all pharmacists employed in NHS England bid sites. We have created a programme that is flexible to meet the needs of these pharmacists and will ensure they are fully equipped in their key primary care team roles. We are working with GP deans to ensure a multidisciplinary approach, and engaging with patients and the public in our programme development.
The 18-month phase 1 General practice pharmacist training pathway began in 2016. For more information about phase 1 education, including the pathway overview and resources click on the ‘Phase 1’ button.
The NHS England phase 2 Clinical pharmacists in general practice education will place 1650 clinical pharmacists in general practice by 2020/2021. For more information about the phase 2 education pathway click on the ‘Phase 2’ button.
