NHS priorities

Whether it’s to prepare for the next Pharmacy Quality Scheme deadline, or to increase your confidence in helping people with a learning disability, this section provides topic-specific pages that link to current NHS priorities. This section will support you in keeping your knowledge and skills up to date in order to provide high-quality pharmacy services and be service-ready.

Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

Got a great idea?

We recognise that pharmacy is changing and we want to develop the pharmacy team to be ready to face new challenges and excel at patient care.

We believe that supporting pharmacy teams to keep connected and share best practice is one way that we can help each other with new ideas, sharing advice and showcasing great projects.

We hope that you will join us to promote our profession and share projects. Our aim is to showcase innovative practice and create a network of pharmacy professionals who can support each other.

  • Why not share your ideas or projects with us and the pharmacy community.
  • Have you and your team undertaken a project and you want to share your success?
  • Do you have a great idea about something but you’re not sure how to make it happen?
  • Do you want to start a new project but need a network to get you started?

Email us at: info@cppe.ac.uk and let’s support each other and raise the profile of pharmacy.
