Supporting people living with Long Covid

The aim of this programme is to build the knowledge, skills and confidence of community pharmacy teams to support people living with Long Covid.

During the development of this programme, CPPE worked in collaboration with researchers undertaking the NIHR-funded PHARM-LC study from Keele University, Aston University, University of Kent, Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and lechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru (Public Health Wales).

Learning outcomes

On completion of all aspects of this learning programme you should be able to:

  • describe the common symptoms of Long Covid 
  • identify the risk factors for Long Covid
  • discuss the impact of Long Covid on daily living, including mental health 
  • explore how you can support people to manage the symptoms of Long Covid 
  • demonstrate a person-centred approach to your practice when consulting with people living with Long Covid
  • create a list of resources and information to support you, your team and people living with Long Covid.
