Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

Four pillars of practice

Resources for pharmacy technicians: unlock your potential in three simple steps

CPPE and Pharmacy Workforce Development South (PWDS) have collaborated to bring you Resources for pharmacy technicians: unlock your potential in three simple steps: a poster resource designed to empower pharmacy technicians in taking control of their professional and career growth.

The poster highlights key training and educational opportunities from both CPPE and PWDS. These are categorised according to the ‘four pillars of practice’: clinical, education, leadership and research. You can view it, download a copy for yourself, share it with colleagues and even print it for display in your workplace.

This resource was developed by CPPE in collaboration with PWDS.

It incorporates reflective practice, self-assessment and a call to action to support moving from ‘knows how’ to ‘does’. It also includes inspirational quotes from pharmacy technicians who have advanced their careers across these four pillars, offering motivation to help you do the same!

Empower yourself to advance your practice across the four pillars and expand your scope of practice.
