NHS priorities

Whether it’s to prepare for the next Pharmacy Quality Scheme deadline, or to increase your confidence in helping people with a learning disability, this section provides topic-specific pages that link to current NHS priorities. This section will support you in keeping your knowledge and skills up to date in order to provide high-quality pharmacy services and be service-ready.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

Programme design

When developing new programmes CPPE hold design meetings which includes a range of expertise in the topic.

The first stage in our development process is a design meeting, usually run online. The purpose of the design meeting is to involve key stakeholders in developing the aim, learning outcomes, structure and an outline of the content of the learning programme. A design meeting usually lasts up to four hours.

We are looking for the following stakeholders to attend and contribute to the design meeting:

  1. Target audience representatives (pharmacist, trainee pharmacist or pharmacy technician). The relevant area of pharmacy practice will depend on the learning programme being developed but could be from community pharmacy, primary care, secondary care or Health and Justice.
  2. Topic expert.
  3. Lived experience representation.

If you would like to be added to our register where we may contact you about opportunities to attend design meetings, please click on Apply and complete the registration of interest form.
