- describe why pregnant or recently pregnant people are in a higher risk group for developing sepsis
- recognise the signs and symptoms of sepsis in pregnant people
- apply the NICE Criteria for stratification of risk from sepsis in pregnant people to establish a pregnant person’s risk from sepsis
- determine the most appropriate action to take based on a person’s risk from sepsis and your own clinical judgement
- explain why it is recommended that all pregnant people receive the seasonal influenza vaccine
- adopt a person-centred approach to conversations on the risks of flu and sepsis during pregnancy.
