Learning outcomes
On completion of all aspects of this learning programme you should be able to:
- identify your strengths and transferable skills for consulting with people with acute cough symptoms
- create a structure for your consultation to enable you to identify red flags that indicate you need to refer to another setting
- identify resources and learning to meet your development needs to safely prescribe for respiratory infection
- develop your structured approach to consultations and person-centred care when assessing a patient with an acute cough
- evaluate your clinical record documentation to ensure it is accurate, legible and contemporaneous
- build peer networks to support your ongoing professional development
- create a strategy for ongoing peer discussion and debrief sessions to reflect on your own and other’s practice.
