Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

Please note that this workshop is for participants enrolled on the Leading for change pilot programme.

This is an interactive learning workshop which focuses on helping you to develop presentation skills. You will be supported in recognising what makes a professional presenter and reflecting on your own approach. We will help you to develop your skills and abilities to present with confidence.

Learning objectives

On completion of all aspects of this learning programme you should be able to:

  • list the five Ps of a professional presenter
  • describe the Pendleton model for giving feedback
  • discuss the place of three different presentation tools
  • create your own aide memoire to support your presentations
  • evaluate your performance as a presenter.

At the workshop your facilitator will provide any materials for you to refer to and complete during the event.
