Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

Clinical pharmacists in general practice Module 6 Study days - MANCHESTER

The aim of the module 6 clinical assessment skills workshop is to develop pharmacists’ clinical assessment skills to assess patients with chronic and acute common presentations in general practice. You will use clinical assessment skills to support effective history-taking and person-centred care.

  • Neurology and gastrointestinal clinical assessment skills - 17th April, Flexible Skills Suite (G.327), Stopford Building, University of Manchester
  • Musculoskeletal and ENT clinical assessment skills - 3rd May, Flexible Skills Suite (G.327), Stopford Building, University of Manchester

All study days will run from 9.45am to 5.15pm
