Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

Module 2 is for clinical pharmacists on pathway 1 of the Clinical pharmacists in general practice education.

Module 2 will help you to build a strong foundation of clinical knowledge. The focus of module 2 is respiratory and hypertension in the context of multimorbidity and is delivered by our partner Higher Education Institutions. Module 2 in the Midlands in May 2019 will be delivered by the University of Bath in the West Midlands. More information can be found in the University of Bath flyer on the module 2 page of Canvas.

The closing date for applications for module 2 via the CPPE website is 28 February 2019. We will pass your details onto the University of Bath on 01 March and they will contact you with details for how to enrol with the university admissions team. You will need to submit your application to University of Bath before 15 March 2019 to secure your place on module 2.
