Health coaching 2-day course

  • Released: 12/2016
  • Study time: 8h:0m

The health coaching course will be delivered over 2-days with a 2-week break between day 1 and day 2 to enable clinical pharmacists to practice using health coaching techniques in their consultations. The programme focuses on building the conversational skills amongst health professionals, to support behaviour change and self-management. The programme will enable pharmacists to understand how coaching can be used effectively within their clinical role, examining not only how to coach – but also looking at when and where health coaching is effective. This will prepare pharmacists to deal with a number of different pharmacy situations that are supported by a health coaching approach while maintaining a focus on the patient’s agenda.

This course is suitable for pharmacists who are running clinics. All applicants for this course must have passed the consultation skills e-assessment prior to attending.

This course will be led OSCA, an organisation that has provided Coaching for Health training over the last six years to almost a thousand participants from almost every discipline across primary and secondary care.
