Impact group sessions and MBTI® workshops for pharmacy technicians now open for booking

The Pharmacy technician impact groups and Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) online workshop for pharmacy technicians form our exciting new programme of learning for pharmacy technicians, and complement our Pharmacy technicians: enhancing your professional practice e-course.

The Pharmacy technician impact groups are a series of small group sessions that aim to provide a network of support for pharmacy technicians in practice. Impact groups are facilitated by a CPPE tutor using an action learning approach to support professional development, build confidence and develop leadership skills, while maximising networking and sharing of best practices with pharmacy technicians in other workplaces.

If you have completed the Pharmacy technicians: enhancing your professional practice e-course, the impact group sessions will complement your learning by enhancing your ability to undertake a professional approach to your practice. Before each impact group session, you will need to complete specified elements of the e-course, and bring along examples from your practice to enable you to put your learning into practice.

The impact group sessions are open to any pharmacy technician working in England from any sector of practice who provides, or supports others to provide, NHS services. There is a choice of impact group session dates beginning in June. For more information and to apply for a place, please visit our website: www.cppe.ac.uk/career/impactgroups

The MBTI® online workshop is for pharmacy technicians who would like to understand personality types and their personal preferences, and reflect on how to use them in their working environment to build relationships, support interactions with patients and develop their leadership style.

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is one of the best known and most trusted personality assessment tools. Your MBTI® profile can help you know yourself better and describe how you see and interact with the world, helping you to understand your motivations and appreciate the unique value that others can bring. This will help you to frame decisions more effectively, reduce miscommunication, avoid conflict, manage stress and understand your personal needs more effectively. Once you have booked a place on the workshop, you will receive a link to complete the MBTI® assessment a few weeks before the event.

The MBTI® online workshop is fully funded and open to any pharmacy technician working in England from any sector of practice, who provides, or supports others to provide, NHS services.

There is a choice of MBTI® workshop dates beginning at the end of May. Places are limited, so book now on our website: https://www.cppe.ac.uk/programmes/e/t/mbti-ew-02
