In response to the COVID-19 pandemic a decision was taken to delay the renewal requirements for Declaration of Competence (DoC) statements. This applied to locally commissioned services, for example emergency contraception, and the renewal date was postponed until 1 October 2020. Under usual circumstances, your statement of declaration for provision of services using the DoC system is valid for two years from the date of signing. This usual process will resume from 1 October 2020. So if you have a DoC statement for a locally commissioned service which has expired, you will need to review your declaration and sign your statement of declaration from 1 October 2020.
You have the option of receiving email reminders every six months with the expiry dates of your DoC statements. To select this option, log in to the CPPE website and go to the Declaration of Competence section and set the email reminders button to ‘On’ using the sliding toggle.
This will ensure you never miss a DoC update reiminder.
