Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

New episodes of People behind the profession podcast launched

We are delighted to announce that we have launched two new episodes of our People behind the profession podcast.

Our People behind the profession podcast series is hosted by Cindy Boyd, clinical fellow at CPPE 2019-2020 and aims to give pharmacy professionals an insight into the role and organisation of the guest speaker.

Our fourth episode features Michal Lada, a learning development pharmacist at CPPE and community pharmacist and Danielle Hunt, Chief Executive of Pharmacist Support, who discuss pressures faced by pharmacy professionals and share tips on how to improve well being.

Our fifth episode features Annie Sellers, a learning development pharmacist at CPPE, who shares her insight into developing the Guide to returning to pharmacy practice and tips on how to get the most out of the programme.
