We are pleased to announce that we have won the NUS Green Impact gold award this year.
Green Impact is a sustainability project that was set up by the National Union of Students (NUS) to encourage staff and students across the UK to make environmentally friendly changes to make their institutions more sustainable.
CPPE have been active members of the project for a number of years and have enjoyed finding new ways to reduce waste.
As part of the project, our Green Impact team had to complete an online workbook containing 100 actions that focused on different aspects of sustainability, such as travel, energy, communications, procurement, people and learning.
We also hosted a number of events to raise awareness for a variety of sustainability initiatives, for example our Fairtrade bake sale and quiz, tree trail walking meeting and a presentation on sustainable travel.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the Green Impact project and we look forward to joining the new sustainability initiative starting in the New Year.
