Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

CPPE is recruiting for a number of exciting opportunities

We are pleased to announce that we have some exciting new opportunities for experienced pharmacy professionals to join our team.

CPPE is recruiting an events tutor to join the South West team (52 hours a year plus a minimum of six events). If you have an interest in the provision of education and training for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing NHS and Public Health services, please apply by midnight 16 May 2019. There are also 4 new education supervisor opportunities across the UK to support pharmacy professionals as they engage with an 18-month programme on our national learning pathways. As an education supervisor you will be one of the key support advisers for learners, offering guidance so that they get the best from their learning.

We are recruiting in the following areas:

  • Yorkshire & Humber; North East and East Midlands (Band 8a 0.6 FTE).

There are also two part-time opportunities:

  • A regional tutor role in the North West (Band 8a 0.2 FTE) to work with local leaders and commissioners to support the pharmacy workforce learning needs. An important feature of the role is to support the regional manager with networking and promotion of all CPPE learning materials. For more information on the role, visit this page.   • A local tutor role in the East of England (0.14 FTE) to take a lead at a local level in relation to ongoing pharmacy professional development.
