NHS priorities

Whether it’s to prepare for the next Quality Payments Scheme deadline, or to increase your confidence in helping people with a learning disability, this section provides topic-specific pages that link to current NHS priorities. This section will support you in keeping your knowledge and skills up to date in order to provide high-quality pharmacy services and be service-ready.

Clinical pharmacy

Our clinical portfolio is expanding on a frequent basis, helping you to advance your knowledge and skills and deliver medicines optimisation in practice for all sectors of pharmacy. From two new focal points a year to our small group learning for hospital pharmacists – Optimise – this section focuses on clinical pharmacy, diseases and therapeutics.

Public health

The public health agenda is embedded in pharmacy, yet topics such as emergency contraception or stop smoking support are as prevalent as ever. As well as our public health workshops, use this section to access a wide range of resources to assure and maintain your competence, all underpinned by the Declaration of Competence system.

CPPE goes for gold

As 2017 is coming to an end, we thought we would spread the festive cheer by sharing some good news.

In 2017, CPPE maintained the gold standard award from Investors in People.

But this year, we were also nominated for the gold employer of the year for 50-249 employees.

Although not victorious, we are pleased to announce that we were ranked in the top ten

Investors in People is an internationally recognised accreditation that analyses an organisation in terms of leading, supporting and improving, and uses a framework of nine key indicators to measure people management.

CPPE was first awarded the gold standard back in 2013 and we are delighted to have maintained the gold standard again.

At CPPE we pride ourselves on helping all team members to develop both personally and professionally as well as creating a friendly working environment.

We use the Investors in People framework to continue to identify areas of improvement in our quest to provide high-quality learning for pharmacy professionals.

We look forward to progressing even further and pushing for platinum in the future.
