New ACPT programme for pharmacy technicians in London and the South East

We are pleased to announce that we have secured a contract with Health Education England (HEE) in London and the South East to provide an accuracy checking pharmacy technician (ACPT) programme for pharmacy technicians in the region.

We have created training and assessment that provides the flexibility to meet the needs of pharmacy teams in community and secondary care.

The aim of the programme is to equip pharmacy technicians with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide:

  • final accuracy checks of medicines that have been approved or clinically screened by a pharmacist
  • leadership within the dispensary
  • optimisation of skill mix within the pharmacy team.

If you work in London, Kent, Surrey or Sussex and are interested in our ACPT programme, further information will be available on the ACPT page of our website in the coming weeks.

If you wish you get in touch with us regarding pharmacy technician learning, please email us at info@cppe.ac.uk or contact us via Twitter or Facebook.
