Professionalism: a CPD programme for pharmacy technicians updated

Our distance learning programme Professionalism: a CPD programme for pharmacy technicians has been recently updated to reflect changes in Standards for pharmacy professionals – the new guidelines issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in May 2017.

The aim of this programme is to raise the understanding of professionalism for pharmacy technicians and encourage pharmacy technicians to strive for professional excellence, improving health outcomes for patients.

By the end of this learning programme, you should be able to:

  • define professionalism and describe how it impacts on behaviour and attitude
  • list the nine standards detailed in the General Pharmaceutical Council’s (GPhC) document Standards for pharmacy professionals and explain how this applies to you in your role
  • examine your professional judgment in the programme’s activities and identify areas for self-development
  • describe how CPD links to professionalism
  • use the Foundation Pharmacy Framework (FPF) to demonstrate professionalism.

Access the Professionalism distance learning now to ensure your knowledge and skills are up to date.
