We are delighted to announce that booking is now open for our popular Life skills - developing your potential e-course!
CPPE has developed the Life skills – developing your potential e-course to help you reflect on your personal skill set and identify how you can grow a range of life skills to reach your full potential. By engaging actively with the course content, you will develop a skill set that will help you in both professional, and personal situations. Reach your full potential, build greater self-awareness and develop a skill set for both professional and personal use
This course is suitable for all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians – whether you are just starting your career in pharmacy and looking to develop skills that will help you in your career, or you are an experienced healthcare professional reviewing your practice. Life skills – developing your potential will provide you with a structured approach to reflect on your practice, identify ways to develop your potential and learn new skills.
The course starts on Monday 2 February 2026 and runs for eight weeks. We recommend you commit four hours of learning each week.
Week 1 Personal reflection tools
Week 2 Overcoming barriers and time management
Week 3 Working as a team
Week 4 Delegation and assertiveness
Week 5 Influencing skills and managing anxiety
Week 6 Effective communication and networking
Week 7 Coaching, mentoring, managing and helping others learn
Week 8 Review progress and celebrate success
Each week you will be given specific tasks, which may involve reading learning materials, accessing websites and completing quizzes. You will have the opportunity to share experiences and learning with other participants in our discussion forums, as well as reflect on your learning by completing a personal reflective journal.
As the course is flexible, there is no specific time that you need to do the learning. Each week, there will be a different discussion topic that you can view and contribute to at a time most suitable for you. By participating in an active online learning community, you can share ideas of best practice. There will also be support from an online tutor, who will be available to answer any questions and will monitor some of the interactive activities to help stimulate discussions.
There will be an optional webinar during the course that you are encouraged to attend, but it is not mandatory.
