Children and their medicines: enhancing your practice - a new focal point

You can now book a place on Children and their medicines: enhancing your practice, a new focal point programme for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who encounter children in their practice.

About the programme

This module has been designed to support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in resolving issues that are commonly encountered in children. It covers issues such as altered drug handling, use of unlicensed or off-label drugs and difficult communication, all of which can make children a challenging patient group for the pharmacy team.

This programme will help learners consider how they can deal with such issues and ultimately maximise their input to the care of children. The focus is not on minor ailments but on the aspects of care that can be applied to any child, irrespective of medical condition or medication.

Book a place on a workshop near you today – or order the booklets or download them directly in PDF format.

About focal point

CPPE’s focal point programmes are designed for community-based pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. However, the issues covered in Children and their medicines may also be of interest to those working in hospital practice.

Learners can use the materials at CPPE tutor-led events or within their own learning communities
