Route to revalidation workshops

We have developed the Route to revalidation workshop format to help pharmacists and registered pharmacy technicians periodically demonstrate their fitness to practise.

We will be developing a series of Route to revalidation learning events over a five-year period. This series of workshops will help you to develop a portfolio that you could use to support your revalidation as a practising pharmacy professional.

Learning style

Route to revalidation workshops are focused on group work and relevant to current practice. They aim to help you demonstrate that you have gathered the knowledge and developed the skills that you are likely to need for revalidation.

There will be a pre-workshop task to complete, which can include background reading and preparation for an activity. At the workshop tutors will hand out learning portfolio booklets to the attendees. A local expert in the subject will be supporting the local tutor in the facilitation of the group activities. They will provide directed feedback to attendees.

Participants are given a brief outline of the subject and any activity they have been asked to prepare for and will be presented with more group activities during the workshop. Each one is aimed at helping them make positive changes to their practice and to make them examine how they perform their roles in their pharmacies.

How do I join an event?

We will release at least one Route to revalidation workshop topic every term. They are held as CPPE tutor-led workshops in your local area.
