Hospital pharmacy

Hospital pharmacists and registered pharmacy technicians are able to attend our regular evening events and access all our programmes and e-assessments.

We have developed specific learning for hospital pharmacy teams through our series of learning@lunch programmes. Our more recent titles can also be used as part of a learning community.

Learning@lunch programmes

We developed the learning@lunch programme format specifically for hospital pharmacy teams to learn together. Most learning@lunch modules fall into the category and can be accessed by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to further develop their knowledge and skills in a specific subject area.

The modules are bite-sized, flexible and will update your knowledge and understanding of the topic as well as supporting your CPD. For further information go to our learning@lunch pages.

Learning communities

A learning community is a group of pharmacy professionals who meet to study CPPE materials at a time and place that suits them. Our more recent learning@lunch titles can be used by you and your colleagues within a learning community. All the arrangements are completed on our website and we will send you free materials, have a look at our learning community pages.

In partnership

Our learning@lunch is supported by some key hospital pharmacy organisations including the Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists (GHP) and United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA). We developed the learning@lunch concept with these organisations to further support and develop hospital pharmacy. Both GHP and UKCPA, promote and support the important role pharmacy teams play in hospitals for  more information about our pratners click on the links below:

Other learning

Many of our other programmes within our portfolio are suitable for hospital pharmacists and registered pharmacy technicians.

Our open learning programmes are suitable for pharmacists wanting to improve their knowledge and skills in a particular area. Completing a programme such as Musculoskeletal, disorders advancing your practice can enable you to provide evidence of learning towards accreditation as a PhwSI, consultant pharmacist or pharmacist prescriber. Browse our open learning portfolio and scroll down to the bottom for the  programmes.

We have several e-learning programmes that are easy to use and complete. Every six months we launch a new version of BNF e-update with hospital related case studies. It will take 45 minutes to complete and you will be updated with the major changes within the latest BNF.

Our wide range of online e-assessments allow you to test your knowledge, comprehension and application of your learning. Successful completion of some of our e-assessements can be used towards a pharmacists’ portfolio of evidence for submission to be a PhwSI or for an advanced level practitioner working in secondary care.
